FIBA - European leg of Trophy Tour concludes in Palanga

PALANGA (FIBA Basketball World Cup) - The Trophy Tour concludes its European leg this weekend (Friday 11-Sunday 13 July) in Palanga, Lithuania, to coincide with the start of the first training camp by the country's national team.

The Trophy Tour takes over the main square of the seaside resort town, with activities getting underway at 15:00 local time (CET +1/GMT +3) on Friday afternoon. An official opening will take place at 17:00, with a number of national team players due to be in attendance.

Fans, onlookers and passers-by can look forward to having their picture taken with the Naismith Trophy, discovering all the great things the Road Show 2014 truck has to offer, showing off their skills in contests for a chance to win Spain 2014 prizes and the opportunity to meet members of the men's national team.

On Friday, a group of youth streets dancers will perform at the Trophy Tour, followed on Saturday by professional dancers and acrobats.

On Sunday, the Lithuanian national team will pay a visit to the stop around 13:00 to see the trophy they will be battling for at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

A number of other Lithuanian celebrities - TV and radio personalities - are also expected to make appearances.

The opening hours of the Trophy Tour stop in Palanga are the following:
- Friday: 15:00-22:00
- Saturday: 11:00-22:00
- Sunday: 11:00-17:00
