Syria next to punch in tickets to Asia Cup 2021

AMMAN (Jordan) - Syria is the next team to officially qualify for FIBA Asia Cup 2021 following the results of today’s games in the Asia Cup Qualifiers.

They join Lebanon, Bahrain, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Jordan as teams to have qualified through the first-ever Asia Cup Qualifiers while Indonesia is also qualified as hosts of the event.

This leaves 9 spots that will be still up for grabs for the premier event in Jakarta later this year.

The top two teams in each Group at the end of the Asia Cup Qualifiers will clinch direct qualification. The remaining spots will be secured through the Qualifying Tournament for Third Place teams.
