Lee is one of the most heralded youngsters at the moment following a freshman season playing at Davidson College in the NCAA. Yeo was selected for the Basketball Without Borders Global Camp 2020 and the Basketball Without Borders Asia Camp 2019, the latter of which he was named camp MVP. Both starred at the U18 Asian Championship for Korea.

Korea have also named a new head coach to lead the team through this final window, Cho SangHyun. Coach Cho was previously the assistant coach of the team.

Korea are in Group A of the Asia Cup Qualifiers along with the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. The remaining games in this group will be played in Clark, Philippines from June 17-20.

There are 24 teams competing in the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers. Once the three windows of the Qualifiers conclude, the top two teams in each group will qualify directly to Asia Cup 2021. The six last-placed teams in each group are eliminated.

Meanwhile, the six third-placed teams in each group will then play in a separate qualifying tournament. Teams will be placed into two different groups of three teams. The top two teams of those respective groups will then lock in their spots at Asia Cup 2021, completing the 16-team roster who will also compete in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers.

Currently, Bahrain and Lebanon have already qualified for FIBA Asia Cup 2021 through the Qualifiers. Indonesia are also already qualified as the confirmed hosts of FIBA Asia Cup 2021.
