Lebanon, Chinese Taipei, Jordan among teams to confirm final roster for first window

BEIRUT (Lebanon) - More final 12-player rosters have been confirmed at the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers ahead of their first gameday.

The games on 21 February will be played in Taipei, Nur-Sultan, Manama, Amman, and Beirut. The first day of the Asia Cup Qualifiers saw its share of exciting games and the players confirmed for these remaining teams should also generate some buzz for their play.

The finalized 12-man rosters of the teams are below:

Chinese Taipei
Bahrain
Lebanon
Jordan
Sri Lanka

Chinese Taipei will hosting Malaysia at the Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium at 7:00 PM (GMT +8).

Bahrain have faced India a few times in Asia Cup play already, resulting in some close games. They’ll face each other here at the Qualifiers at 7:00 PM (GMT +3) at the Khalifa Sports City Complex.

Asian powerhouse Jordan will be welcoming Sri Lanka to their home at the Prince Hamza Hall at 7:00 PM (GMT +2).

In the last game of the first gameday of Window 1, Group D favorites Lebanon are going to face Iraq at the Nohad Nawfal Arena, to be played at 9:00 PM (GMT +2).

All teams will be looking to get off to a good start for the first window of the Qualifiers to improve their chances to make it to Asia Cup 2021. The top two teams of each group will directly qualify to the main event next year. Meanwhile, the third-placed team in each group will have to play in a separate Asia Cup Qualifying tournament to earn their spot at Asia Cup 2021.
