Battle for Asia Champions Cup 2019 crown set with confirmation of rosters

BANGKOK (Thailand) - The rosters of the 8 teams at FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2019 have been verified and confirmed ahead of the event following the conclusion of the team manager’s meeting.

The Group Phase will be tipping off on September 24 on the way to the championship game on September 29, which will crown the winners of the Asia Champions Cup 2019 and grant a ticket to the FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2020. Each team has cut down their rosters to a maximum of 12 players, resulting in the group they will be confident to go into this competition with.

Teams in each of their respective groups will play in a single round-robin format from September 24-26 to determine the top two teams that will advance to the Final Phase. The start of the Final Phase will be on September 28, with victors of the two contests will advance on to play in the championship game.

This will be one of the best group of players in a single Asia Champions Cup edition with the likes of Asian legends Hamed Haddadi, Samad Nikkah Bahrahmi, Lin Chih-Chieh, and Yang Dong-geun.

There will also be plenty of high-level players with experience in the NBA including Sonny Weems, Marshon Brooks, Kevin Murphy, Mike Harris, and Willie Warren.

FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2018 MVP Daiki Tanaka and All-Star Five member Alex Kirk are also lined up to return with Alvark Tokyo.
