NONTHABURI ( FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2018 East Inter-Sub Zone Qualifications) - The Road to the Final 8 continues with the FIBA Asia Champion Cup 2018 IEast Inter-Sub Zone Qualifications to be held at Stadium 29 in Nonthaburi, Thailand from 30 July until 1 August. The tournament will see the some of finest clubs in the Eastern Asian region compete for the two spots in the Final 8 of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2018.

 Mono Vampire Basketball Club (THA) previously hosted the FIBA Asia Champion Cup 2018 SEABA Qualifier where they won the Championship and qualified for this round. That tournament also qualified Pelita Jaya (INA) who finished in second place. Both teams will be facing each other again in the FIBA Asia Champion Cup 2018East Inter-Sub Zone Qualifications and will be joined by Pauian Archiland (TPE) to complete the three teams in this round. Pauian qualified to this round by winning the Super Basketball League (SBL) Championship back on April 29 in a 4-2 Finals Series win over the Fubon Braves.

 This tournament will be qualifying two teams to the Final 8 of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2018, which will include the qualified teams from China, Korea, Japan, the Philippines, and two more teams from West Asia.

Mono Vampire are aiming to make their second straight trip to the final round of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup after a 6^th place finish in 2017. Pauian themselves are also aiming to make a return after their own 6^th place finish in the the 2016 version of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup.
