The U18 Women's Asia Cup will be played at the Longhua Culture & Sports Center in Shenzhen, China from June 24-30, 2024.

The first game of the competition tips off on June 24 at 11:30 (GMT +8) and will be between defending champions Australia and Malaysia, who were promoted for finishing first in the final standings of the U18 Women's Asia Cup 2022 Division B.

Hosts China will play their first game against Indonesia in the last game of the day at 19:00 (GMT +8).

The top teams from each group will advance directly to the Semi-Finals, while teams finishing second and third in each group will go head-to-head to determine the remaining two spots in Qualification to Semi-Finals games on June 28. The teams finishing fourth in each group will also play in a Seventh-place game on the same day.

Teams that qualify for the Semi-Finals will qualify for the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2025, set to be hosted by the Czechia Basketball Federation from July 12-20, 2025

The Semi-Finals are scheduled to be played on June 29 between the winners of the Qualification to Semi-Finals games. On the same day, the losers will play in the Fifth-place game.

The Final of the U18 Women's Asia Cup 2024 will be played on June 30 at 19:00 (GMT +8) after the conclusion of the Third-place game.

In the previous edition of the competition in 2022, Australia won their first U18 Women's Asia Cup in the Final against China. This snapped China’s five-consecutive title run.

Nonetheless, China still lead all national teams with 16 titles in the competition. This U18 Women’s Asia Cup marks the 20th anniversary of the event being hosted in Shenzhen. China won their tenth U18 Women's Asia Cup that year.

FIBA U18 Women's Asia Cup 2024 Division B will also be played in Shenzhen.

Shenzhen is also the host city for the FIBA Women's Asia Cup, the region's flagship women's basketball competition, in 2025 from July 13-20.
