Riding on the success of many FIBA Asia games being streamed on social media earlier this year, FIBA has resolved to live stream all Division A games from Bengaluru, which tips off on 22 October 2017.

Fans from all over the continent can then follow all the action and become part of the conversation, using the hashtag #FIBAU16Asia.

This makes the games more accessible than ever before, especially with selective games also shown on Facebook.com/FIBA and Twitter.com/FIBA.

Three times champions China lead the Division A teams and are joined by one-time champions Japan. East Asia sides Korea, Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei are also in the fray along with SEABA team Thailand. For the first time, teams from Australia and New Zealand are also included. Division A will be divided into two groups, with each group playing a single round-robin before moving to the knockout phase.

The top four teams will earn berths to the FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2018 in Minsk, Belarus.
