Over 5.3 million total livestream views for FIBA U16 Asian Championship

FOSHAN (FIBA U16 Asian Championship) - Basketball fans flocked from all over the globe this past week to check out the action at the FIBA U16 Asian Championship, and the event's livestream was their primary platform.

In total, after the group phase, the Qualification to the Quarter-Finals, the Semi-Finals and the Final, the FIBA U16 Asian Championship garnered over 5.3 million livestream views. The group phase itself attracted more than 2.2 million livestream views and even more watched the succeeding matches in the knockout rounds.

The game that had the highest livestream views was the group phase joust between SEABA rivals Philippines and Malaysia, which had more than 600,000 viewers across all of FIBA's platforms.

This was an historic feat in the history of the FIBA U16 Asia Championship, which this year saw newcomers Australia claim the crown with China and New Zealand finishing second and third place respectively.

These numbers indicate the effectiveness of FIBA's livestream platforms in reaching the event's fans, and the fans' engagement is an authentic manifestation of the growth of the fans' support for Asian basketball.
