Today's FIBA Asia Champions Cup Semi-Finals Games: Saturday 15 October

CHENZHOU (FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2016) - We have reached the Semi-Finals! Here are the two Classification Games and two Semi-Finals games to look forward to at the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2016 in Chenzhou-Hunan, China.

Pauian v Barsy Atyrau

Pauian put up a tough challenge yesterday when they lost to Al Ahli of UAE, but they are the slight favorites against Barsy Atyrau, which just lost to Al Riyadi of Lebanon. Quincy Davis should remain as the focal point of Chinese Taipei’s efforts here, while the frontline duo of Pavel Micheev and Mikhail Yevstigneyev is expected to carry the load for the Kazakhs.

Al Shorta v Al Rayyan

Al Rayyan is coming off a stinging defeat at the hands of China Kashgar in a game where it seemed like the Qataris were all but poised for an upset win. They will have to scramble here, though, as Al Shorta are no pushovers, and they, too, put up a very gallant stand yesterday against Iran’s Petrochimi.

Al Riyadi v Al Ahli

Al Riyadi will be the odds-on favorites to win this match up, but they cannot easily overlook Al Ahli, which will be powered by the high-scoring Samuel Young. Young unloaded 40 points yesterday, and, for sure, he will be a marked man here. The Lebanese are hoping Dewarwick Spencer, Fadi El Khatib and Alade Aminu can put up big numbers, so they can barge into the Final.

China Kashgar v Petrochimi

Today’s centerpiece affair features two teams that had to get their acts together in the second half of their respective games in order to make it this far. China know they cannot afford another shaky performance especially against a team as deep and as determined as Petrochimi, who are hoping to bag Iran’s sixth Champions Cup crown.
