Today's FIBA Asia Challenge Games: Monday 12 September

TEHRAN (FIBA Asia Challenge 2016) - Here are the six games to look forward to on Day 4 of the FIBA Asia Challenge 2016 in Tehran, Iran.

Jordan v India

Jordan played well in the tournament’s first couple of days, but they may yet have their hands full here against India. The Indians are entering this game with a 1-1 slate, and they are certainly looking to add to their win total with a win over Jordan.

China v Philippines

China secured the top seed of Group A after drubbing Kazakhstan last night. They will have to go and play a gritty but inexperienced Philippine side that showed a lot of heart in their two previous games.

Kazakhstan v Chinese Taipei

Chinese Taipei are riding the crest of an undefeated wave, and they surely want to add to their win total even more. Standing in the way are Kazakhstan, who have yet to see their first win of the tournament.

Iraq v Japan

The West Asian side are looking to bounce back after getting drubbed by rivals Iran on Day 3. They will, however, find the going tough against a balanced and deep Japanese team led by Makoto Hiejima and Ira Brown.

Iran v Thailand

If everything plays to form, then Iran shouldn’t have any trouble in facing the hapless Thais. Thailand gave a Japan a good scare before collapsing in the second half, but the Thais will be hard-pressed to duplicate that against the hosts.

Qatar v Korea

Qatar are surprisingly winless at this stage, and there is a strong likelihood it will remain like that after they face unbeaten Korea. The Koreans, with a veteran-laden core, look to turn up their play even more as the competition gets tougher in the next round.
