CORDOBA (FIBA AmeriCup 2017) -The United States are known for having a team where the rotation goes unnoticed. A perfect example is that of Jameel Warney, who straight out of the bench always ends up contributing in both areas. The 23-yearold Forward, who plays for the NBA G League’s Texas Legends, is one of the key defense players. His 15 points and 6 rebounds against the Virgin Islands portrayed him as one of the stars of the Final Four: “I’m very happy because I was able to help the team in some offenses. We all have our roles and we try to fulfill it in the best way possible. The only thing we have to think about now is that we have one game left.”

While at times the team is good in the offense, the Forward recognizes that the priority is another: "The team’s idea is to become strong on the backcourt, that’s why we prioritize on our defense. We have to be aggressive because you never know what can happen during offense. We must stay calm and focus on games. If we don’t make good attacks, we have to control the game with our defense".

When they traveled to play at the FIBA AmeriCup 2017, they had only one thing in mind: "It feels really good, we came for this and now we have one more game to meet our goal.”
