SAN JUAN (FIBA U18 Women’s Americas Championship) - The International Basketball Federation in the Americas announced that the Official Draw for the FIBA U18 Women’s Americas Championship 2018 will take place on Tuesday, July 10.

The Draw will be held in FIBA Americas Regional Office, and will be available at FIBA’s YouTube Channel.

The FIBA U18 Americas Championship will be played in the Coliseo Juan de la Barrera of Mexico City, August 1-7 and will feature the participation of the National Teams from Argentina, Canada, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and USA.

During the Draw, the participating teams will be divided in two (2) groups of four (4) teams.

The pairs for the FIBA U18 Women’s Americas Championship Draw are:

POT 1: Colombia - Puerto Rico
POT 2: El Salvador - Chile
POT 3: Canada - USA
POT 4: Argentina - Mexico

The seven-day tournament sees the top eight teams from the FIBA Americas zone vying for a top-four finish to qualify for the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2019.
