YUCATAN (Mexico) - After leading USA to the gold medal, Jerzy Robinson had another reason to celebrate, as she was named the Most Valuable Player at the 2023 FIBA U16 Women's Americas Championship.

The 14-year-old dropped 24 points and 14 rebounds in the Final against Canada, a game USA won by 20 points.

Robinson was the tournament's leading scorer at 17.3 points per game and tied for third in rebounds at 10.2 per game. She also averaged 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game, shot 43 percent from the field and had a tournament-best 20.8 efficiency rating.

Alongside Robinson, USA teammate McKenna Woliczko, Argentina's Milagros Morell, Puerto Rico's Desirek Nieves and Canada's Cearah Parchment were also named to the All-Star Five.

Here's how each of them fared throughout the week:

Woliczko averaged 11.8 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.0 assist per game, shooting an efficient and tournament-leading 62.3 percent from the field. The 15-year-old recorded two double-doubles against Mexico in the Group Stage and Argentina in the Semifinals.

Morell starred for Argentina and led them to a bronze medal finish after averaging 14.3 points, 11.0 rebounds (second-best in the tournament), 1.8 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 steals per game, while shooting the second-highest percentage from the field (52.5 percent). The 6'3" center recorded four double-doubles across her six games played.

Nieves was a spark for Puerto Rico throughout the tournament and helped them secure a fourth-place finish. The 16-year-old guard finished her tournament averaging 14.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.2 steals per game. Her best game came against Brazil in the Quarterfinals where she scored 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.

Rounding out the All-Star Five is Parchment, who helped Canada to a silver medal. The 15-year-old averaged 10.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.2 assists per game. She posted two double-doubles against Mexico and Puerto Rico in the Quarterfinals and Semifinals, respectively.
