JOHANNESBURG (South Africa) -  Day 1 of the Road to BAL Elite 16 Group F qualifiers Division East at the Ellis Park Arena saw some players deliver great individual performances.

FIBA.basketball looks at four players who starred for their teams on Tuesday.

Germaine Roebuck Jr (City Oilers)

The City Oilers guard scored a crucial 17 points in the opening game against COSPN in their opening Group B game. Roebuck Jr landed 50% (7/14) of his field goal attempts, and he never stopped aggressively, and at the defensive end, he grabbed eight rebounds.

Landry Ndikumana (Urunani)

The Urunani power forward emerged with a double-double (18 points and 14 rebounds) in their opening Group A game against Kenya Ports Authority.

The 27-year-old put in an efficient performance and had a rating of 29. It was in the paint area where the 1.98m (6ft 6in) did most of his damage and was 8/10.

Will Perry (Ferroviario da Beira)

The Ferroviario da Beira point guard scored crucial buckets in the victory against Matero Magic.

Despite his lack of height, he had no problem finding his way to the rim to score 24 points against much bigger defenders. He crashed eight boards in the game.

Dhieu Deng (Cape Town Tigers)

The Cape Town Tigers floor general put in a good shift against the NBA Academy. His 11 points six rebounds and seven assists, were part of a sterling performance by the South Sudanese player. He would unfortunately leave the game with a foot injury.
