Top 5 Performances from Day 3 of FIBA Africa Basketball League 2019

CAIRO (Egypt) - Group C of the FIBA Africa Basketball League 2019 came to a close on Sunday after three straight days of action in Cairo, and a few players added their names to the top performers list.

Here're the top five eye-catching performances from Day 3 of the FIBA ABL 2019 Group C.

Reggie Holmes (Al Ahly)

The Egyptians desperately needed a leader, and Holmes rose to the occasion when they needed him most.

The 1.95m (6ft5in) guard made 7 of his 15 three-point attempts, converted his two free-throws to lead the Egyptians with 25 points.

Todd O'Brien (Al Ahly)

The seven-footer was a difference-maker for Al Ahly, contributing not only in the offense end where he added 10 points, but, more importantly in the painted area where he grabbed 14 (12 defensive) rebounds.

Kenneth Gasana (REG)

The shooting guard is known for his scoring prowess, and although he led all scorers with 29 points, he made sure to contribute defensively.

Gasana finished with 6 rebounds and an impressive efficient rate of 27

Felizardo Ambrosio (Primeiro D'Agosto)

"Miller" as Ambrosio is known in Angolan basketball circles, only needed 10 minutes on the floor to make his presence felt.

And although the 2.02m (6ft8in) power forward, missed two free-throw attempts, he made all three of his three field goals, grabbed rebounds, and came up with must-watch blocks.

Needless to mention his vocal leadership on and off the court.

Pedro Bastos (Primeiro D'Agosto)

Perhaps in his best showing with the D'Agosto jersey, Basto grabbed the opportunity with open arms. Coming off the bench, Bastos made the most of his team-high 33 minutes on the floor to do a bit of everything at both ends of the court.

He finished with an impressive 80 percent shooting for 19 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, registered 4 steals and added a block to his account.
