GABORONE (FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2017) - FIBA Africa Champions Cup (ACC) runners-up a year ago, Libolo extended their hopes of reaching the 2017 Final Round by demolishing Botswana side Dolphins 124-48 on Day 2 of FIBA Africa Zone 6 qualifier on Saturday in Gaborone.
It was the Angolan champions' second straight triumph after beating Zimbabwean Harare City Hornets 98-54 on Friday.
This year's seven-team Southern Africa regional qualifier, which will see two teams advance to the Finals which will take place from December 8 -17, will run until Thursday October 26.
While Libolo improved their record to 2-0, fellow Angolans InterClube survived a scare from Mozambique's Ferroviario de Maputo, who conceded their second defeat in as many games.
Although Ferroviario led 38-33 heading to the final quarter, the Angolans kept their best for last to secure a 55-53 triumph.
Meanwhile, Harare City Hornets bounced back from Friday's loss to Libolo by dispatching Troopers 90-47.
