All-Star Five light it up at FIBA U18 Women's African Championship 2018

MAPUTO (FIBA U18 Women's African Championship 2018) - Assetou Sissoko has been named the TISSOT MVP at the FIBA U18 Women's African Championship after leading Mali to the title.

Sissoko impressed throughout the tournament and finished with averages of 22  points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in six games.

The 18-year-old guard was joined in the All-Star Five by fellow Mali team-mate Aminata Sangare, with Angola's Alexia Dizeko, Filipa Calisto of Mozambique and Rwanda's Belle Murekatete completing the lineup.

Bella Murekatete averaged a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds en route to Rwanda's historic fourth-place.

Alexia Dizeko finished the tournament with 13 points per contest as Angola claimed a Third-Place finish.

Mali's Aminata Sangare played a major role, helping her country claim a seventh FIBA U18 Women's African Championship title. She finished with an average of 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists per game.

Mozambique's Filipa Calisto powered the hosts with eleven points and two assists per game as they secured their first-ever place for next year's FIBA U19 World Championship.
