Hugely talented quintet highlights FIBA U18 African Championship All-Star team

BAMAKO (FIBA U18 African Championship 2018) - The FIBA U18 African Championship came to an end on Sunday, and five players starred above average throughout the nine-day event in Bamako, Mali. 

Here's the All-Tournament team:

Mali's Siriman Kanoute, who was named the tournament MVP, highlighted the All-Star team, which included Angolan guard Selton Miguel, Youssef Ahmed Ossama of Egypt, Abdoul Karim Coulibaly from Mali and Senegal's Birame Faye.

Kanoute (Mali)

Kanoute was crucial in helping his country win their first-ever FIBA U18 African Championship.

The 16-year-old guard finished with averages of 13.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and a team-high  5.3 assists per game.

Miguel (Angola)

One of the rising stars in Angolan basketball, Miguel displayed his best performance in Sunday's third-place game against Egypt, finishing with a team-high 24 points. 

The 6ft3in (1.92m) guard averaged 15 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

Youssef Ossama Elmadawy  (Egypt)

The 17-year-old playmaker displayed a number of key passes and plays that inspired Egypt to a third-place finish.

Although he had a performance to forget in the Semi-Finals against Senegal, he finished with important seven points and a team-high four assists per game.

Biram Faye (Senegal)

Faye finished with averages of 22 points and tournament-highs 16 rebounds and three blocks per game. He was superb throughout and the main reason Senegal depart Bamako with a silver medal. 

Abdoul Karim Coulibaly (Mali)

Three double-double performances and averages of 14 points and 10 rebounds per game define 17-year-old's role in Mali's successful campaign.
