Mali name strong roster for the defence of #FIBAU16Africa title
BAMAKO(Mali) - Head Coach of Mali U16 national team Mamoutou Kane has named a strong 12-man roster to defend their FIBA U16 African Championship title.
The 'Eaglets' arrived in Praia in the early hour of Tuesday ahead of the showdown which is billed to run from July 5-14.
Coach Kane listed the twelve players which has nine of the players plying their trade in various academies and youth teams in Mali ,two in Spain with only inclusion who is based in the United States of America.

Mali had a good run since the inception of the cadet championship in 2009 with four medals in previous five outing which include two Second-Place finish in 2009 (Mozambique) and 2015 in Bamako, Mali, a third place finish in 2011 in Cairo, Egypt before rapping it up with top of the podium finish in Phoenix, Mauritius in 2017.
