THE HAGUE (Netherlands) - France and the Netherlands combined to win the first 2 stops of the FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League Southern/Western Europe Conference in The Hague, Netherlands on June 8-9.

The FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League is back for a third edition this year and grew from 2 to 3 conferences and 12 to 18 national federations represented both in the men and the women's categories.

One week after Russia rolled took the Asia-Europe Conference by storm, France and the Netherlands split wins in the first 2 stops of the Southern/Western Europe Conference, which also includes Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland.

The reigning champs (both in men and women) France won Stop 1 in the women's category and Stop 2 in the men's category. At home, the Netherlands started in Stop 1 with a flamboyant win in the men's division. The women beat France in the final of Stop 2.

In the women's category, France and the Netherlands already created separation with the rest of the division. The top 5 scorers all belong to these 2 teams with Victoria Majekodunmi leading the way.

The men's category is another story. France and the Netherlands rank 1st and 2nd as well but the tour point difference between the #1 (France) and the last team in the standings (Germany) is smaller than the difference between the 1st and the 3rd team in the women's category.

The scoring charts are equally as tight with Frank Seguela (France) ranked 1st for 1 point above Dylan Van Eyck (Netherlands) and 2 points compared to Bruno Mascolo (Italy).

The FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League comes back on June 15-16 with 2 more stops of the Southern/Western Europe Conference in Voiron, France and 2 stops of the Asia-Europe Conference in Moscow.
