About the event

The FIBA 3x3 Africa Cup Madagascar Qualifier 2018 takes place in Antananarivo, Madagascar on July 28-29 This event qualify 4 men's teams and 3 women's team to the FIBA 3x3 Africa Cup 2018, that will be held in Lomé, Togo, on November 9-11, 2018.

It's the first time that Madagascar hosts an official FIBA 3x3 competition.

Contrary to the "open" network of tournaments (which includes the FIBA 3x3 World Tour), players taking part in the FIBA 3x3 Africa Cup do not create the team themselves, but instead are selected by their national federations to represent their countries.

In order to be eligible, players who compete in the 3x3 Africa Cup must have a confirmed account on play.fiba3x3.com and have the nationality of the country they represent.
