Competition Format

The 10 teams registered for the women´s competition will be divided into a Qualification Draw and a Main Draw.

The three lowest-ranked teams in the 3x3 federation ranking of 1 November 2019 (BDI, DJI, MRI) will play a Qualification Draw pool of 3 teams.

The best team out of this pool will advance to the Main Draw. The other 2 teams will be eliminated and will be ranked as 11th and 12th in the FIBA 3x3 Africa Cup.

The Main Draw will be divided into 2 pools of 4 teams and will play a round-robin phase leading to a single-elimination as of semi-final games. Competition start for all women´s teams is on 8 November 2019.

The 12 teams registered for the men´s competition will be divided into 4 pools of 3 teams and will play a round-robin phase leading to a single elimination as of quarter-final games. Competition start for all men´s teams is on 8 November 2019.
